Silicon bronze wood screws - square drive head

Silicon Bronze Wood Screws - Square-Drive Head 8-Gauge

(4 reviews) Write a Review

High-quality 8-gauge silicon bronze wood screws in a variety of lengths.  These silicon bronze screws have a square-drive head and are ideal for use as boat building screws.

The square-drive head makes fastening with your electric screw-driver or cordless drill very quick and simple. The driver bit will remain locked in and will not slip, unlike other head types.

Even buried in the wooden structure of a boat, silicon bronze screws will not corrode - unlike stainless steel screws which will corrode when shielded from oxygen and unable to build a protective oxide layer.

We also recommend silicon bronze screws (or silicon bronze machine screws for high-load situations) for fastening our bronze deck hardware.

    Slotty and twisty

These screws are most satisfactorily slotty on top and highly receptive to twistiness. Otherwise unremarkable.

    This SCREW surprised even me

The advantage here is in the square head for the square insert tool, no mucking around slipping out, just straight home from the word go.
