One of our customers, Harald (located in Oslo, Norway) is restoring a 38 foot Laurin.  The Laurin is a Swedish design and was built by Vator oy of Finland.  Harald's boat was built in 1963 and is mahogany on oak.

Harald is working to replace brass screws with silicon bronze screws throughout the boat.  He has already changed 400 screws and is well on his way to finish the job (hobby) during the northern-hemisphere spring of 2014. 

The Laurin stands outdoors in the wintertime (December through to March) with much snow.  And since the winter temperatures get as low as minus 20 degrees, Harald suspends work outside during that period.
